Description of sweet potato starch making machinery :



The vacuum drum filter press is composed of a rotating drum and a slurry-containing sump (for holding the slurry to be filtered). During operation, the drum rotates and dips into the sump; under the action of vacuum suction, the liquid phase and suspended solid particles in the slurry are adsorbed onto the pre-coated filter medium on the drum surface.
The liquid fraction is further drawn through the filter media by vacuum force, enters the internal collection cavity of the drum, and is then expelled through the dedicated discharge port. The solid particles retained on the outer surface of the drum form a solid cake, which is transported to the scraping assembly as the drum rotates. The scraper removes the solid cake together with a thin layer of the filter medium, ensuring a fresh filter surface is exposed for the subsequent filtration cycle—realizing continuous and stable filtration.

Working principle:


The starch dewatering machine operates via vacuum pump suction, which creates negative pressure within the drum to drive starch particles onto the drum’s filter cloth. As the drum maintains continuous low-speed rotation, starch accumulates into a controlled-thickness layer. The vacuum pump extracts excess water, and a precision scraper automatically removes the dehydrated starch—ensuring reliable, efficient starch dewatering.
